POLICE at Dareton, Wentworth and Buronga stations are now equipped with body cameras following a statewide roll out of the technology which aims to improve community and officer safety.

Currently the body worn video camera is being rolled out to more than 500 police stations across New South Wales, with the local Sunraysia stations recently receiving theirs. 

Dareton police Inspector Stuart Gordon said the technology had historically proven to have numerous advantages and would be used by first response officers.
