DINNER under the stars, surrounded by hundreds of roses will be the feature event of the second annual Rose Festival later this month.

The 1600 roses of all descriptions, colours and sizes are now in full bloom at the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens ready for the festival, which is the gardens’ major fundraiser for the year.

Australian Inland Botanic Gardens co-ordinator Brian Cuddy said it would be a two-day festival starting with a string of events on Saturday, October 27.
