Aim to bridge tourism gap

DESPITE an increase in tourism figures in Mildura last year, and Victoria’s tourism industry estimated to be worth more than $20 billion, the Coalition believes it can help the state’s tourism industry do better.

Last year the Mildura-Wentworth region received 543,000 domestic overnight visitors, up 8.9 per cent on 2016.

That influx of tourists resulted in visitors injecting $236 million into the local economy.
