MEMBER for Mildura Peter Crisp says the Coalition would continue the Victorian Government’s review of Mildura Base Hospital, while rival candidates say Labor should have committed to ending the privatised model.
The Coalition had said it would review Ramsay Health Care’s management of Mildura Base Hospital if elected next month, before making any decision on extending its contract beyond 2020.
However, the government yesterday jumped ahead, announcing a review would begin immediately with an online survey launched.
Mr Crisp indicated an elected Coalition government would continue the review Labor started yesterday, rather than launch its own, and said he had “made it clear that everyone who wants a say, can have a say”.
