SUNRAYSIA teachers and education union organisers have welcomed a $14 billion 10-year Federal Labor education plan, saying it will be a “game changer” for local public schools.
Opposition Leader Bill Shorten yesterday announced the fund, which would be rolled out if Labor won next year’s election.
He said it would mean more than 13,000 extra teachers or 23,000 teachers’ aides and would be the biggest public school investment in Australian history.
