Rowathon hits 90 mark

THE Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Rowathon was held on Saturday, attracting 28 crews from near and far.

This year’s event was rowed over 90km to celebrate 90 years of the RFDS, which provides extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to people over an area of 7.69 million sq km.

The event started at Apex Park in Mildura, with the first leg to Coomealla, then the second leg to Wentworth, the third to Pomona and the fourth back to the Wentworth and District Rowing Club.
