A MILDURA rugby league club is raising funds for one of its players who was seriously injured in a match in Griffith late last month.

Tuarii ‘SV’ Turaki was airlifted to Sydney with a broken vertabra in his neck on September 29 after sustaining the injury playing for the Tigers against Griffith Pukapuka.

Mildura Tigers president Mathew Kirirua-Gill said Turaki was undergoing further testing in Sydney and would be looking at a long road to recovery.
