MILDURA Council conferred its highest honour on a Mallee resident described as the “epitome of the rural volunteer” at the weekend.

Jocelyn Lindner was officially made a Freeman of the City at a special ceremony held at Kow Plains Homestead in Cowangie on Saturday.

Having lived in the Tutye, Cowangie and Murrayville districts for the past 47 years, during which she has been involved in several services and organisations, Jocelyn has been described as a “selfless” community advocate.
