A USER of the Mildura Waves centre says memberships are being cancelled over the closure of the wave and toddler pools since early this month, adding to several maintenance issues that have plagued the centre.

Sunassist volunteer Roy Cubit, who regularly takes his elderly and disabled clients for exercise at the wave pool, said the closure was affecting groups that regularly used facilities, including children.

A Mildura Council spokesman said maintenance issues had affected water quality at the pools, forcing their closure until further notice.
