Charlie’s fire truck treat

THE mother of a Mildura three-year-old whose wheelbarrow of oranges was stolen from the front of his home has thanked the community for its support. 

Charlie Edwards, 3, has a reason to smile again after generous residents from across Sunraysia pledged to donate bikes, wheel barrows and more after his wheelbarrow of oranges was stolen from the front of his home.

Sunraysia has rallied around Lisa Nelson’s son Charlie Edwards after she shared her heartbreak over the theft earlier this week. 

The family has received several ­offers of gifts from strangers, including money, wheelbarrows and even a new bike for little Charlie, which have been declined.
