TONY Alessi has been preselected as Labor’s candidate for the seat of Mildura at November's Victorian state election.

Mr Alessi grew up on a fruit block in Mildura south, attended Mildura High School and has spent the last 20 years of his life operating private chiropractic businesses.

“I am proud to be representing my community as the Labor candidate for Mildura,” Mr Alessi said.

“Victorian Labor has consistently championed our community’s needs in jobs, health, education, the environment and social justice, and I want to continue that work to make the electorate of Mildura an even better place to live.”

Mr Alessi joins current Member for Mildura Peter Crisp, Greens candidate Cathryn Milne and independent candidate Ali Cupper in the running for the November 24 vote.
