VISUAL artist Katy Mutton’s new military-inspired art installation focuses on the survival and community spirit of Sunraysia’s returned servicemen.

After visiting the region for a public talk this week, the Canberra-based artist will return to Mildura in November for her post-war project The Picket Sentinels.

In a culmination of four years of research, the exhibition will explore the physical state of returned servicemen who were allocated blocks of land as part of the Red Cliffs soldier settlement after World War I.
