LETTER: Red meat prices down because supply is high

The only reason that (red) meat is currently relatively affordable is because farmers have been off loading stock to abattoirs as they cannot afford the cost of feeding them. 

This has depressed prices.

This situation will shortly come to an end as supply falls, meaning substantially higher prices will be paid for this product in the months to come.

Red meat, in particular, will become a luxury for many, if not most.
