LETTER: Melbourne doesn’t know what we have to offer

THE Victorian official border is the Murray River but the real border is just below Wagga Wagga and Broken Hill.

People look to Victoria in many Murray River towns all along the river and all read the Herald Sun.

We who live just over the border are all Victorian and live up here after escaping the city issues for a far happier retirement and now enjoy a visit and hotel stay in Melbourne.

Regional Victoria needs a marketing push more than anything to enhance its lifestyle features.

Image is the issue for regions and too many Melbourne people have no idea of what is on offer in regional Victoria and that needs to be corrected.

Surely regional councils and tourism bodies and the regional real estate sector should be creating some regional marketing into the city and through the city media.

There are so many stunning homes for sale that need exposure.

There is a need for an Escape to the Country TV program or newspaper feature of fine regional property.
