JOINING the police force is a rewarding yet lifelong commitment, according to retired members, with the experiences of the job never really leaving you.

Next month Mildura will be the starting point for the Head 2 Head Fundraising Walk, in which The Police Association of Victoria (TPAV) secretary Wayne Gatt and his team depart from Mildura Wharf and trek 500km to Wangaratta.

On the same day, Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton and his team will leave from Mallacoota en route to Wangaratta police station, where the two groups will meet “head to head” three weeks later.
