STAGE two of Mildura’s riverfront redevelopment will be Australia’s most sought after inner-city riverfront location.
That’s Mayor Mark Eckel’s vision for the vacant land on Seventh Street between Walnut and Madden avenues, set to be transformed into an “urban lifestyle” precinct.
And with stage one of the riverfront complete, Mildura Council is now drawing up concept designs for its next phase of the redevelopment, which would focus on innercity living, boutique shopping, transport and a possible tourist information centre.
“It’s going to be such a magnificent, iconic location for Mildura,” Cr Eckel said.
“It will be standalone as far as the riverfront is concerned anywhere along the Murray River and anywhere in Australia.”
