SUNRAYSIA women from the Nepalese community celebrated the men in their lives as part of Teej festival at the weekend.

Held at the Mildura Eco Village, the celebrations saw about 35 people gather together wearing traditional clothing to share an afternoon of dancing, singing and feasting.

The three-day long Hindu festival, held in Nepal and some parts of India, welcomes the monsoon season and is celebrated primarily by girls and women, with songs, dancing and prayer rituals.
