WHEN Melissa Connors and her family moved to their 10-acre property at Kyneton, they saw long grass and fences and bought six angus steers.
Winter came and the feed was gone. On top of that, the cattle had charged through the fences.
The tree-changer from Melbourne was on a steep learning curve. “We didn’t know what we had taken on,” Ms Connors (pictured) said.
