Allan left at crossroads

ONE lone caravan remains at the former Crossroads Caravan Park site in Mildura and its owner claims its presence is a clear “message of defiance” to German supermarket giant Aldi.

When Allan White parked the caravan at Crossroads Caravan Park 38 years ago, he did so with the intention of seeing out his days there.

But the now 71-year-old says a decision by the owner to sell the park, and Mildura Rural City Council’s call to approve the planning permit for the construction of Aldi at the site, has left him shattered.
