CEREAL and pulse crops across the Mallee are facing serious risk of damage next week as temperatures are expected to climb above 30C on Tuesday.
Wheat and barley grower Scott Anderson, who farms south of Ouyen, yesterday said the small amount of rain that fell last month failed to quench the crop’s thirst.
“We are very concerned about (Tuesday’s heat),” he said.
