THE Greens’ candidate for Mildura in the November state election counts New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as one of her biggest inspirations.

Nangiloc native Cathryn Milne hopes to emulate Ms Ardern’s trailblazing and charismatic leadership in her bid for the seat of Mildura.

And like Ardern, she has an ambitious list of priorities and a big challenge ahead of her.

“I’m very interested in getting the passenger rail back for Mildura and 100 per cent renewable, clean energy,” Ms Milne said.

“My main priorities are public transport, renewables, protection of the forests and waterways and to get the Mildura hospital out of private hands.”
