OUYEN United’s Josh Gregg has become the first Kangas player to win the McLeod Medal as the best and fairest player in Sunraysia senior football.

Gregg polled 26 votes to edge out Robinvale-Euston ruckman Ethan Gill and star Irymple midfielder Daniel Coghlan, who were tied in second place with 22 votes.

A former Ouyen United junior, who returned to the club in 2017 after a stint in the SANFL with West Adelaide, Gregg set up his win in the first half of the season.

He polled an amazing 18 out of a possible 27 votes in the first 10 rounds, which included six beston-ground performances, to lead Coghlan by five votes.
