SHANTELLE Thompson is now a three-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion.

The Melbourne-based former Dareton resident returned from Las Vegas after claiming four gold medals and a bronze across two tournaments, the IBJJF World Master Championships and the Las Vegas Open late last month.

The 34-year-old’s haul included winning her weight division at the IBJJF World Master Championships before claiming bronze in the open division and then going on to have success at the Las Vegas Open.
