Stephen Hegedus says the Mildura Lifeline Project still needs $40,000 to be viable.

MILDURA Lifeline Project says it’s relying on Lifeline Australia to “look kindly” on its efforts and see the need for a call centre to open in Mildura.

The fundraising project has so far raised about $60,000 but it’s still about $40,000 short of what it needs for a local centre to be considered a viable option.

One of the project group’s advocates, Stephen Hegedus, said its recent Harley raffle had helped boost funds and the group appreciated fundraising efforts by Red Cliffs East Primary School and Sparkes Gym.
