GEOTECHNICAL soil testing was carried out last week at the site where Swan Hill Rural City Council (SHRCC) proposes to remove material to construct the Robinvale Levee Bank.
SHRCC director infrastructure Svetla Petkova said that while work on the levee is progressing, there are still a number of steps to go to ensure environmental and cultural heritage management plans are met.
“The test results will be available in two to four weeks, and if the soil is appropriate for use, we will begin work with Parks Victoria on an approved borrow pit site design and rehabilitation,” Ms Petkova said.
