THERE is “so much further to go” to reduce the incidence of domestic violence among Mildura’s Aboriginal population, State Parliament has been told.
Member for Mildura Peter Crisp said domestic violence was a scourge that needed to end in the community and there were numerous agencies in the region that were working towards that goal.
Mr Crisp urged Victoria’s first dedicated family violence prevention agency, Respect Victoria, to work closely with those local organisations, including Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS).
