Way to go in Mildura domestic violence fight

THERE is “so much further to go” to reduce the incidence of ­domestic violence among Mil­dura’s ­Aboriginal population, State Parlia­ment has been told.

Member for Mildura Peter Crisp said domestic violence was a scourge that needed to end in the community and there were num­erous agencies in the region that were working towards that goal.

Mr Crisp urged Victoria’s first dedicated family violence prevention agency, Respect Victoria, to work closely with those local organ­isations, including Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS).
