A TASKFORCE trying to lure the 2030 Commonwealth Games to regional Victoria is about to take the next step in its bold plans, with a bit of help from Mildura Council.
Mildura ratepayers’ $6000 contribution was a small part of the funding the group needed to pay for a “pre-feasibility study” it intends to use to develop a bid for the quadrennial sporting competition.
The bid taskforce on Friday confirmed it had enough money from regional councils and the Victorian Government to commission the study.
