SUSTAINABILITY was in the spotlight at St Joseph’s Primary yesterday with a visit from Out of the Box as part of the school’s “Think Global, Act Local” unit.

Run by local project Food Next Door, Out of the Box sell boxes of locally-grown fresh produce and guarantee a 50 per cent profit return to the grower.

About 35 grade four, five and six students explored sustainable farming practices, reducing food waste and food miles, and the importance of eating seasonally.
