PowerVault rules out move: Solar farm developers say electricity grid connection decides location

POWERVAULT director Steve Timmis has hit back at detractors of the company’s proposed solar farms in Merbein, Mildura and Birdwoodton, saying relocation is “not an option”. 

He called on Mildura councillors to make up their own minds on the matter when it goes to a future council meeting, rather than deferring it to Victorian Planning Minister Richard Wynne. 

During Sunday’s objectors meeting to the proposed developments, Member for Mildura Peter Crisp warned the issue would “hang around everybody’s neck” for months unless new locations could be found.
