COMPLETION of the Murray Basin Rail Project has been pushed back to 2020, following a State Government meeting last week with rail freight and farm industry representatives.
It follows the Rail Futures Conference in Melbourne last month where Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan acknowledged delays on the second stage of the Murray Basin project had affected stages three and four.
Additionally, upgrades of the passenger rail line at Ballarat had been put under review to determine how the projects would proceed in a way that suited the freight industry.
