Hot-air ballooning in Sunraysia: Trainee pilots put through their paces

TAKING to the Mallee sky as a trainee hot-air balloon pilot for the first time on Monday was “better than” Brennan Lally could have imagined.

After two years working as a crew member at Byron Bay Ballooning, Mr Lally felt ready to take the next step in his career.

“I was interested in ballooning before I became crew then once I was crew I became really interested in flying,” he said.
