THE Mildura Heat will acknowledge indigenous contributions to basketball in Mildura with their first Indigenous Round tonight.

The Division 1 Women are hosting Warrandyte and the Division 2 men greet Sherbrooke, with a welcome to country to be held before each match after the players line up and a didgeridoo player performing instead of the national anthem.

Indigenous women dancers will also walk out with the players and perform at half-time, keeping in with the theme of NAIDOC Week – “Bbecause of her, we can”.
