AS we roll into the second month of winter it’s refreshing to see the fish are still on the chew at many locations. 

With a good rise coming through the Murray River, Murray cod and golden perch are being caught on bait and lures. 

Swan Hill Tackle proprietor Jim Credlin says several large Murray cod – up to 90cm – have been landed on lures upstream of the road bridge over the past week.
