It’s Mildura or nothing: Irymple objectors demand billboard hearing change

A GROUP of Irymple residents has written to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) urging that a hearing to decide the fate of an Irymple billboard be dismissed or moved to Mildura.

Melbourne-based advertising company Total Outdoor Media has taken its fight to VCAT after Mildura Council rejected its proposal to install a large billboard on the corner of Karadoc Avenue and Fifteenth Street at a meeting in April.

The hearing has been listed for October 31 in Melbourne, however concerned Irymple resident Tracey Meyer said objectors weren’t warned of a VCAT practice day hearing on the matter listed for June 29 in Melbourne.
