THE success of artisan agriculture and premium food in our region will be the focus of a forum held tomorrow.
Hosted by Agriculture Victoria as part of the Artisanal Agriculture and Premium Food program, the meeting will see artisanal producers and government service providers discuss avenues to boost market opportunities in the agriculture sector.
Artisan produce is typically made by hand using traditional methods (such as bread, cheeses and jams) using locally-sourced products and ingredients. It bypasses industry supply chains and sells direct to customers, such as at market stalls.
