FAMILY violence remains a “huge burden” on the Mildura community and is a strain on police time and resources, according to Member for Mildura Peter Crisp.
Mr Crisp told State Parliament that family violence constituted “so much” of what Mildura police had to deal with.
He said what he found “extremely frustrating” was reading about people breaching intervention orders.
“Some people just do not get it,” Mr Crisp said.
