A CASE against three men accused of trafficking a commercial quantity of the drug ice is awaiting the analysis of telephone conversations.
Dallas Kane Ferguson, Jayden Ireland and Taylor Stewart were all charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine at Ouyen in December last year.
Ferguson, who remains in custody, has also been charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime in the form of two motorcycles and $1455 cash, as well as dishonestly retaining six gold rings police allege he knew were stolen.
Mildura Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday heard it would take about a month for transcripts of the phone conversations to be provided to lawyers acting for the three men.
Ferguson, Ireland and Stewart are due to reappear in court in August.
Two women charged with drug offences arising from the same investigation also faced court yesterday.
Nerissa Lee Johnstone, 33, remains on bail and is due to face court again next month, charged with trafficking ice, possessing methylamphetamine and amphetamine and negligently dealing with more than $7300 in proceeds of crime.
Leasha Dianne Eastwood, 25, yesterday indicated she would plead guilty to a drug possession charge and apply to have her case heard in the magistrates’ court.
