MEMBER for Murray Austin Evans says communities like Sunraysia may miss out on a slice of a new $20 million fund if Victoria’s cross-border commissioner doesn’t sign an agreement with its NSW counterpart soon.
Earlier this week Deputy Premier John Barilaro announced a $20 million NSW Cross-Border Commissioner’s Infrastructure Fund (CBCIF) to help build vital infrastructure for communities living on NSW borders.
However, the funding requires co-investment from the neighbouring state, which Mr Evans said gave the “positive” announcement “a bit of sting”.
