OUYEN’S Nathan Trigg was left to rue a fall on day two of the Finke Desert Race on Monday that cost him dearly.
The Motul Pirelli Sherco rider started the day sixth outright however, after electing to change a wheel, he was caught out trying to make up for lost time.
“I was riding fast and felt good and I had passed more than 10 riders making good time, but I was over-confident. I got sideways in the whoops and I landed in a prickle bush,” Trigg said.
