Health is part of harvest

IF you want a serve of fresh fruit or vege­tables, the students at Nangiloc Colignan & District Primary School will spoil you for choice.

A community garden built less than 12 months ago is already bearing plenty of fruit, as well as vegetables and herbs, with broccoli, tomatoes, oranges, avocado and bananas on the menu.

Principal Ben Crum said the students had taken ownership of the community garden, which also helped them talk and think about healthy eating.
