Mildura’s reputation tarnished – filmmaker

MILDURA has one of the worst reputations among young international travellers, ­according to a British filmmaker and former backpacker.

Katherine Stoner, 21, recently wrapped filming on her investigative documentary 88 Days, which looks at the process of backpackers trying to secure a second year-long visa in Australia.

To do so, they are required to complete 88 days of farm work and Mildura is one location where many young travellers end up.
