MILDURA police have encouraged the community to support their lead as an ally of Sunraysia’s LGBTIQ+ community, as they raise the rainbow flag for International Day of Action against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

IDAHOBIT is held across the globe on tomorrow and liasion officer (GLLO)Constable Stacey Purves said local police had a vital role to play in dismantling stigma in the local community.

“It’s incredibly important for Mildura police to be shown as an ally,” Constable Purves said.
