A REBIRTH is on the cards for Irymple Library as preparations are made for the community hub’s next chapter.

The Christie Centre will take over running the library from July 1 and has been gathering thoughts on how people wanted the space to be used.

A community open day was held on Monday for ideas to be shared and already a lengthy list has been accumulated.

Christie Centre project officer Bernie Chaplin said the possibilities included nursery rhyme time for grandparents and grandchildren, scrapbooking and craft sessions, chocolate making demonstrations with Mildura Chocolate Company, joint activities with local community groups, bookreading and computer lessons.
