THE cold weather didn’t deter crowds at Saturday’s annual Trinity Lutheran College Deutschfest.
Event co-ordinator Andrea Robinson said about 8500 people came to enjoy a day of traditional German food and activities, with an estimated $81,000 raised.
“It was an absolutely fantastic day,” Ms Robinson said.
“We got such a great influx of funds for the school, and people seemed to really enjoy the day, which is what it’s all about.”
Ms Robinson said foods to warm the belly were popular, with hot potatoes and hot dogs selling out.
