The teenager has risen through the ranks of not only her club’s grades but representative tiers too, and continues to stamp her authority on the A Grade competition as one of the association’s best shooters.

She is set to be a key figure for her side today as Imperials cross over to Sarah Oval to face the Bulldogs.

One of the competition’s tallest players, Toms revealed she wasn’t always an attacker.

“I did start as a defender when I was younger and, at the early stages around under 13s, we just had no shooters in our Sunraysia team so I pretty much got thrown into the attack end,” she said.

“And that’s where I’ve stayed ever since, but I prefer shooting, loved it from the first time I got put in there.”

Having made her A Grade debut in 2016, Toms isn’t feeling the pressure her growing reputation might put on her.
