ONE of a host of Mildura debutants in their SFNL win against South Mildura at the weekend, Brady Rowles says he had been working hard towards his senior debut throughout the pre-season.
The 17-year-old Bendigo Pioneers listed half back knew with the exodus of senior players from Mildura he had a chance, and when coach Heath Caldwell threw down the challenge he responded.
“I kind of thought there would be a spot there, because so many players left,” Rowles said. “Heath pulled me aside halfway through pre-season and said I was a chance of playing seniors this season."
