Care crisis over ‘a minority’

“DON’T tar all aged-care facilities with the same brush,” is the ­advice of Jacaranda Village chief executive officer Martha Rowe.

In light of recent media attent­ion regarding the “aged-care crisis” nationwide, Ms Rowe said she felt it was important to clear up some misconceptions about the industry locally.

“A lot of the media attention surrounding the industry lately has been negative,” she said.

“The organisations who are mistreating residents should 100 per cent be publicly named and shamed, and hung out to dry.
