Broad huffs and puffs: Mallee MP is ‘dead against’ Greens’ push to legalise cannabis

MALLEE MP Andrew Broad has thrown his support behind the Turnbull Government’s rejection to legalise cannabis, saying he is “dead against” the push by the Australian Greens.

Greens leader Richard Di Natale called for reforms to the existing prohibition and said the country’s current approach to illicit drugs was an “unmitigated disaster”.

But Mr Broad said legalising cannabis was a slippery slope that could lead people to harder drugs.
