Silence over cancer ends

But holding a high tea for prostate cancer is a way of breaking down stereotypes, according to Sunraysia Prostate Cancer Support Group leader Alan Harris.

The Mildura Workers Bowls Club and Sunraysia Prostate Cancer Support Group have joined forces to raise money and get men in the region talking about what Mr Harris called a “silent killer”.

“Prostate cancer is still surrounded by a lot of stigma,” he said.
