THE river, the weather and most importantly the people is what has continued to bring back Fay Caldow and Lorraine Sherwood to the Willow Bend Caravan Park.

The pair were once complete strangers, but for more than 54 years they have spent many months together along with their husbands Bill and Tom at the caravan park in Wentworth.

Their once small group has expanded over the years, with more than 20 others often joining them for morning tea and happy hour each day.

“It’s just so relaxing and it doesn’t change – we have lots of crazy people to camp with and our husbands love going fishing,” Fay said.

“We get to catch up with friends every year, taking up where we left off.”
